From understanding the application process to knowing what equipment you’ll need, our FAQs cover all you need to get started confidently.

Q: Who is eligible to apply?

A: Both domestic and international college and university students in Canada, with bilingualism in French and English considered a strong asset.

Q: How much does the background check cost?

A: The cost varies, but you’ll be required to cover it to begin work.

Q: What kind of hours will I work?

A: You’ll have full flexibility in setting your own hours.

Q: How will I be paid?

A:You’ll be paid based on the hours you work.

Q: What is the work model, and how does it operate?

A: Our work model is an affiliate program where you work independently under UAZ Professional on the Arise platform. Similar to how Uber and DoorDash work; you set your own schedule, use your own equipment, choose the projects or clients you want to work with, and work at your convenience.

Q: How does the flexibility work in this model?

A: As an affiliate, you work independently. You decide when and how often you work. The platform allows you to choose opportunities that fit your availability, making it perfect for those seeking flexible work hours.

Q: Am I considered an employe?

A: No, you are not an employee. You work independently as an Affiliate under UAZ Professional. This means you’re responsible for managing your own operations, such as setting your schedule and handling taxes.

Q: What does it mean to "pay my own taxes?"

A: Since you are not an employee, taxes are not deducted from your earnings automatically. You are responsible for tracking your income, setting aside money for taxes, and filing them accordingly.

Q: What are the benefits of working as an independent affiliate?

A: You enjoy the flexibility of choosing when and how much you work, complete autonomy in managing your work-life balance, and the ability to earn based on your efforts. This model is ideal for those who value independence and control over their professional lives.

Q: How is this model different from traditional employment?

A: In traditional employment, you follow a set schedule, and taxes are deducted from your paycheck. In this model, you operate independently, set your own hours, and take responsibility for your taxes and business decisions.
